In our mission to glorify Jesus Christ, we are committed to building and sending Christ-centered laborers into the world.  Ephesians 4 says that church leaders are – in large part – there to equip the church for ministry.  So, in order to do this, we are active in equipping every church member for ministry.   We are also excited to equip and train interns for ministry in our local church context with the hope and expectation that they will take their faithfulness beyond our community to serve Christ in the future.

In their unique role, interns are able to get their feet wet with a wide variety of vocational ministry responsibilities without having the full weight or authority of a full-time staff member.  An intern, therefore, is seen as a learner and practitioner in ministry.  As such, an extra measure of grace is given to these valuable members of our church community as they do the following:

- Grow in godly character (1 Timothy 3) and faithful execution of ministry skills (2 Timothy 4:5; 2 Corinthians 6:3)

- Bear regular church staffing responsibilities (Ephesians 4:11-16)

- Engage in committed discipleship relationship with Pastor Darryl and / or other recognized elders and leaders in the church (Matthew 28:18-20)

- Practice and grow in the gifts God has given them (Romans 12:3-8)

These priorities (and many others) guide the interns’ involvement.  Their character and skill development are top priorities because that is how faithfulness to Christ is measured.  Character is the who we are inside and skill is what we do.  Both of these are important to Jesus Christ.

Here are our current interns!  Please feel free to read their bios and get familiar with them.  These men are committed to advancing Jesus Christ in our community and through this church!  By clicking on their names / pictures, you can contact them individually, read their blogs, or donate to their internship fund.
